Thanks for the lookup!
I started in Amateur Radio in 1976, in Bowling Green,
KY. My interest in radio was in part due to my dabbling
in CB (Yea, I did that!), and my father's (WA4UID)
experience as a CW operator in the Army in the 50's. I
was licensed in 1977 as a novice with WB4UIC (just
missing the WN4- calls), and then upgraded to General in
1978. It was then a long, dry spell before finally
upgrading to Advanced in 1992. I mostly do phone
operation. Look for me around 7.198 - 7.204 +/- QRM/N
nightly, and around 18.130 - 140 on weekends. My
equipment is: ICOM IC-751A, single-fed 75/40/17 Meter
dipoles at 45 foot. The tower is 62' of Rohn 25 with 2
Ele Telex-Hygain 402BA Yagi on 40M, and have another 32'
tower with an A4S on it, and later, plans for a
3-element monobander stacked for 17M above that - wish
me luck!! I also do some HF
USAF MARS work, and am the Region 8 USAF MARS Training
Manager and Webmaster of
www.region8.net . My USAF MARS calls are
AFA8GT/AFF8TD/AFE8WM.
I am currently retired USAF after
serving 20+ years for Uncle Sam. I was a Wideband radio
technician (ex-304X0/2E1X4), and Visual Imagery and
Intrusion Detection Systems technician. I joined the
USAF in 1982, as a Security Police specialist until I
cross-trained in 1987 into communications. I retired at
the rank of TSgt, but did make MSgt (E-7) before
retiring, just didn't take the stripe - wanting to get
back home to the wife after 2 years away from home, and
a new life. My tours have been to Berlin, GE Templehof
AS (83-86), Whiteman AFB, MO (86-87), Keesler AFB, MS
(87), FE Warren AFB, WY (87-92), Kunsan AB, Korea
(92-93), HL9WY was the Korean Call, Ellsworth AFB,
SD (93-94), Nellis AFB, NV (94-97), Saudi Arabia (97),
Dyess AFB, TX (97-00), Osan AB Korea (00 - 01), HL9WY
was the Korean call, and Langley AFB, VA HQ ACC/SC (01 -
03) then Home in Jan 2003.
I have 3 acres of land about 4 miles
North-East of Cheyenne. The house was built in 2003. I
am currently a Service Manager for a Motorola Sales and
Service company here in Cheyenne.
I am also playing some music on my
own, which is a great relief, and I am at
http://www.reverbnation.com/texritteracoustic there.
Check out my website
